Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of the hydropower plant system at Poso Energy 2B Hydropower Plant through efficiency calculations. The method employed involves the analysis of measured parameters, including flow rate, penstock inlet water pressure, Main Inlet Valve (MIV) elevation, and tailrace elevation. These data were used to evaluate system performance by calculating the system efficiency. The results indicate that system efficiency tends to increase with increasing power output. The highest efficiency, reaching 95%, was achieved at a load of 65 MW, representing the most optimal operating condition. Meanwhile, Unit 3 experienced the greatest energy losses among the units analyzed
