Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
Every scientific manuscript submitted to Jurnal Mekanikal will undergo a rigorous selection and evaluation process to maintain the quality, integrity, and objectivity of the publication.
Review Policy (Double-Blind Peer Review)
Jurnal Mekanikal implements a Double-Blind Peer Review system. In this mechanism, the author's identity is completely hidden from the reviewers, and conversely, the reviewer's identity remains anonymous to the authors. This guarantees a fair, unbiased evaluation process free from any conflicts of interest.
The Editor screens the manuscript for scope alignment, template compliance, and plagiarism checks (maximum 20% similarity index). Approved manuscripts proceed to reviewers.
The paper is evaluated independently by at least 2 (two) expert Reviewers in the relevant field. The evaluation loop generally takes 2 to 4 weeks.
Final Editorial Decisions
Based on the recommendations and review reports, the Editor-in-Chief will make one of the following decisions:
- Accept Submission: The manuscript is accepted for publication without any further changes.
- Revisions Required: The author must submit minor adjustments according to the reviewer's feedback.
- Resubmit for Review: The author must perform major revisions, and the paper will enter a brand new review phase.
- Decline Submission: The manuscript is rejected due to scientific flaws or mismatches with the journal's scope.
